We accept a 30ft bored well. The elevation of the water is at about 17 ft. How do you replace the foot valve? I accept searched online and it is really difficult to attempt and detect instructions on doing that.
Nosotros accept been having issues with several different pumps over the years and I have been wondering if it is fourth dimension to change the foot valve. Nosotros have never done it and nosotros have been hither almost 11 years.

You volition have to furnish info about your pump, the number of pipes leaving the pump to the well, the well diameter etc. etc.

Nosotros currently have a 3/iv hp shallow well jet pump, ane" suction, i 3/4" discharge line to the system. At that place is no ejector on the suction line.
24" bored well, 17' to the h2o surface, 33' to the bottom.
The vertical lift from the water surface to the pump is about xi ft. The well is located virtually 25ft from the house.
We have a pretty high demand on this well as we have six children and livestock.
We have been having problems with the pumps losing their prime and question whether we should get a new well, a new higher hp pump, or change the foot valve.
Volition shock chlorinating assist reduce gas in the water?
Are there any books recommendations for wells? Distressing for all the questions merely information technology has been a trying day with no water.......

Yes we have gas in our well. We accept the iron causing leaner.. I recall that is what it is called.... plus our sodium is really high...
As far as the drop piping I am non sure how long it is. My husband is going to attempt and pull it up this weekend. We have I call back 3 different kinds of new human foot valves that have come with various pumps over the years. What material is a driblet piping ordinarily made from? PVC, rubber or something else? He was just wondering if it is a rubber pipe would he risk collapsing it when he pulls information technology up.....
We had no h2o yesterday but I think it was the pump that was shot. We put in our former one and we are getting water once again. The former pump is but one/2 hp but the contacts are starting to wear and the pump doesn't always kicking on. If you lot give it a tap on the housing where the contacts are it is enough to first it.... then we are taking back our new pump and hopefully we can get information technology replaced. Nosotros don't remember information technology ran dry only it sounds similar the bearings are starting to get..... Could exist the impeller but information technology is still under warranty then whatever the problem is they should fix information technology.... If they won't we can buy a pump repair kit for most $30 and my husband works at a pump and motor shop so he knows a piddling about repairing them. He doesn't desire to take information technology apart if warranty would cover information technology as it would void the warranty.

Droppipe should be either galvanized, PVC or Poly pipe.
I would think someone from your husbands work identify could give y'all a hand with this problem?

It is possible to kink the line that is between the pitless adapter and the foot valve so practise exist careful past keeping it as straight as possible while pulling it out and while it is laid out on the ground.
